The Graphics Caveman!
Hi, my name is Kai Yee of Photoshop-How-To.com.
I worked as a graphic designer for over 25 years in the Washington, DC
area. I started my career in the Paleolithic days when artists cut up
galleys and did paste up on illustration boards called "mechanicals".
My first real job was as a technical illustrator for the Smithsonian
Institution. Back in the day, you were considered pretty slick if you
can draw a consistent smooth line with a ruling pen! My career as a graphic
designer took an interesting turn around 1983, when the Apple Macintosh
appeared out of nowhere. Suddenly, this new computer technology opened
doors for me to enter such exciting arenas as video production, 3D animation,
multimedia, web design, and music production for projects with Fortune
500 companies and the Federal Government. Along with the opportunities, I've also had to constantly
learn new tricks. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The very nature
of the communications industry demands change and innovation. However,
I'm sure that you can learn the lessons of this industry less painfully
and expensively what I went through. That's why I developed Photoshop-How-To.com.
This is my way of giving back the generosity that others in the industry
have shown to me. I hope that you enjoy the lessons in Photoshop-How-To.com.
I will be constantly updated these lessons to offer the most value to
you. You can also help me by filling out my survey as to what lessons
you will find most helpful in the future. Thank you very much for visiting Photoshop-How-To.com
and please let me know how we can better serve you in future updates! Yours truly, Kai Yee Copyright © 2005
